Glass-Free 3D Endoscopy All in one System
New perspective on endoscopy and surgery.

World's first 3D medical image conversion technology

Novius 3D imaging system does NOT need any glasses-on.
It works with glass-free 3D monitor

Installation of Endoscopic 3D on existing any endoscopy is easy. It can be done by a doctor or an assistant.
New software installation or additional hardware peripherals or modifications by the manufacturer are NOT necessary at all.

技術の特徴

New perspective on endoscopy and surgery.

1)Improve diagnostic accuracy 2)Reduction of surgical time 3)Improve learning curve

The cutting-edge 3D technology creates a sense of depth that is almost palpable. The unique curved videoscope enables more accurate view of the fields, which has been difficult to achieve with conventional endoscopic systems. This contributes to more accurate spatial understanding, which has been difficult with conventional endoscope systems. The entire image of the observed object emerges as vividly as in an open surgery. Endoscopic and laparoscopic surgery can be performed more precisely and more speedily. The true 3D era begins here. Novius 3D Imaging Solution is quite beneficial for doctors and researchers

You can see "All Glass-Free"

NOVIUS Real-time conversion time (2D to 3D conversion time) is the fastest in the world. The conversion time is approximately 0.08 seconds (as of July 10, 2022) by developing a proprietary AI 3D algorithm. (Measurement environment: 24-inch lenticular display and 17-inch LFD is likely faster)

N-VISION3D is Non-Medical Device (Programmed Medical Device)

This technology has been confirmed by the Ministry of Health in Japan, Labor and Welfare as a programmed medical device and a non-medical device. It is intended for use in the medical field as an AI image support system, or in the case of this technology, for data display, storage, and transfer processing.

Simultaneous viewing by multiple audiences

We can not use eye-tracking technology.and Glassless 3D output makes it possible to share images with glassless eye and multiple people without wearing a device.

Create parallax from monocular or single lens

Glass-Free style, No VR goggles, No converters are needed, so people around you can share what is being displayed on the glass-free 3D display.

Existing 2D monocular endoscope cameras can be used

A monocular endoscope can be used to see in 3D in real time. This is the main reason why we developed this technology. More than 80% of endoscopes currently installed in medical institutions in Japan are monocular cameras. N-VISION3D can output 3D images in real time from existing 2D endoscope cameras (monocular camera/single camera). No converters or 3D glasses are required. The development of this technology will make it easier to grasp the target organ three-dimensionally with 3D images of the depth of the target organs, which has been difficult to do with flat 2D images, and will enable faster and more accurate surgery that leads the higher successful operation Even single-lens single image can be converted to 3D by AI.technology The single-lens single image can be converted to 3D by AI and displayed on glassless 3D display in real time, which can be shared with multiple doctors in the operating room.

Easy connection to existing microscopes, 2D-endoscopes, and X-ray fluoroscope.

Pull images from existing endoscope equipment (such as existing endoscope equipment) via HDMI, etc., and install N-VISION’s AI software on the NVIDIA GPU-equipped equipment. Existing images can be streamed to the device to view 3D-enhanced images in real time. The display is a naked-eye 3D monitor. The connection method is basically HDMI, but depending on the manufacturer of the endoscope system, it may not be possible to output images.

内視鏡による手術にある問題点-2

奥行や立体感のない手術は非常に危険
This is because the surgeon is not actually opening the body to perform the surgery, but is looking at a screen. The human body is a three-dimensional structure and must be understood and operated on in three dimensions. An experienced surgeon with deep knowledge of the human body can imagine the structure in two to three dimensions, but an inexperienced surgeon cannot. However, inexperienced surgeons cannot do so, and their act is very dangerous. In surgery for brain tumors, arterial flow, and epilepsy, one millimeter can make a huge difference. The surgeon knows that depth intuitively throughout his career.

内視鏡による手術にある問題点-2

複眼内視鏡
Multi Camera Endoscope Compound eye endoscopes were developed to provide a stereoscopic view. One of the characteristics of multiple camera endoscopes is that they are weak against high magnification, and when magnification is increased, the image may not come into focus and become blurred. On the other hand, monocular endoscopes have the advantage of high magnification and clear images, but they cannot see three-dimensionally and are two-dimensional, so they have the disadvantage of not being able to grasp the three-dimensional effect of an object. Furthermore, when one person is operating a monocular endoscope, the people around them cannot share viewing information at the same time.
